I learned a lot during my stay at the Falling Star Ranch. I took the chance to improve my riding and groundwork skills to get certified in the Chris Irwin method.
My favourite horses /cat were /was Alberta. She is fun to ride, especially on the trails and she can be a 'real mare'. Fire, he is a special boy, pretty smart and so cute ;). Bluey, I like her because she has her own personality. Twister, he is a brat and pretty independent from the first second. I was there when he was born. And then there is Shy, the cat. She was my roommate for two months. Shy helped me to get rid of the mice in my room. I really enjoyed her company.
I enjoyed all the things we did like the barrel race, trail rides, ride in the fall fair parade, the baking contest at the fall fair, the bike tours on my days off...
My advise for future volunteers : it's good when you like to cook :-)
