Welcome to the Falling Star Ranch

Home of Arabians, Paints and Quarter Horses

The Falling Star Ranch, located near the hamlet of Dunster in beautiful British Columbia, Canada, is surrounded by the majestic Rocky Mountains and the Cariboo Mountains. Situated just off Highway 16 (Yellowhead Highway) in the Robson Valley between McBride and Valemount, the ranch is located along a major travel corridor between Jasper, Alberta, and Prince Rupert, British Columbia. Dunster is in close proximity to Mount Robson Provincial Park and only an hour's drive from the world-famous Jasper National Park.

The hamlet of Dunster is a charming farming community with friendly people. Dunster offers an old-time general store with a postal outlet, a fine arts elementary school and a community hall, where dances, farmers markets and other social events take place throughout the year. Dunster also has an old train station where you can catch a train to Prince George or Jasper!

Directions

From Prince George, British Columbia
By rental car, head east on Highway 16 (Yellowhead Highway) all the way to Dunster.
There are also connector flights from Canadian airports to Prince George.
Greyhound bus and ViaRail service available from Prince George to McBride.

From Vancouver, British Columbia
By rental car, head east on the Trans Canada Highway (Highway 1) to Hope, then take Highway 5 North/Coquihalla tollroad to Merritt, then stay on Highway 5 North through Kamloops, Clearwater and Valemount to Tete Jaune Cache, then turn west onto Highway 16 towards McBride/Prince George.
Greyhound bus and ViaRail service available from Vancouver to McBride.

From Edmonton, Alberta
By rental car, head north on Calgary Trail (Highway 2 North) towards Edmonton, then follow the signs to Jasper (Highway 16 West/Yellowhead Highway). From Jasper, head west to British Columbia on Highway 16 towards McBride/Prince George.
Greyhound bus and ViaRail service available from Edmonton to McBride.

From Calgary, Alberta
By rental car, head west on the Trans Canada Highway (Highway 1), then north through Banff National Park and Jasper National Park on the beautiful Icefields Parkway (Highway 93). From Jasper, head west to British Columbia on Highway 16 towards McBride/Prince George.
