My favourite Falling Star Ranch horse: they are all individual characters and I like them all but my favourite horse to ride is Bandit. Most challenging is Sam and most pleasure is Fire. But you learn from every single ride on every horse ;-)
My favourite activities: long-lining in the driveway, watching Chris Irwin DVDs and trying the new things right away, watching the herd, teaching students, grooming horses, trail riding, . just everything =)
My advice for future volunteers: It will be a lot of fun and you will improve a lot but it is also a lot of work you should be prepared for ;-)
My personal experience: It was a really great time. I improved so much, more than I ever expected, and I finally found the way I want to be with horses.
